The NERF Hyper line launched in 2021 with a new high-capacity ejector and hopper system that made reloading super fast. The compact size of the new Hyper rounds means you can fill hoppers on pistol-sized pistols with 40 shells. Larger pistols can hold up to 100 people, and can be filled with bolt-on/rail-mounted cases in a paintball-like fashion. The Hyper Evolve-100 blaster features a spring-loaded hopper that can be opened automatically via the quick release button using your hand. This means you can stay in battle while reloading by filling the hopper via a canister with your free hand while keeping your finger on the trigger. As the name suggests, the hopper on the Hyper-100 can hold 100 rounds (70 rounds are included), and like other Hyper copiers, it can fire those rounds up to 110 feet per second. Tactical pack rails provide quick access to ammo. Additional features/additions include a vertical front grip for improved stability and a pair of goggles.

In other news from NERF, two new Star Trek Phasers designed to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Next Generation TV series launched earlier this month have been launched. The Star Trek: The Next Generation NERF LMTD Star Trek Starfleet Type 3 Phaser rifle is a motorized single-shot pistol (5-dart internal clip) featuring light effects that mimic the look of assimilation by Borg in honor of the 1996 film Star Trek: First Contact. It also features Visser sounds and the original First Contact movie sounds. Seven Nerf Elite foam darts are included.
